Leadership guided by experience, integrity, and vision
A veteran in finance and commerce, Mr. Fernando is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He has served as Chairman and CEO of CIC Group, Deputy Chairman of Commercial Bank of Ceylon, and Chairman of Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka. His decades of leadership make him a cornerstone of FGE’s governance.
With global experience across the UK, Switzerland, and Sri Lanka, Mr. Goonewardene brings deep knowledge of equity markets. He has led successful turnarounds of brokerages from a young age and also serves as Managing Director of Guardian Insurance Brokers. He drives FGE’s strategy with vision and discipline.
Mr. Goonewardene is currently Chairman of Associated Motor Finance Company PLC and Managing Director of Lankem Ceylon PLC. He has held senior roles in Bharti Airtel Lanka as Chairman and Managing Director, and also the Managing Director of Lanka Bell. With expertise across finance, telecom, and IT, he brings strategic insight to FGE’s growth.
The former Chairman of Bank of Ceylon, Mr. Ratwatte is a respected legal practitioner with broad public and private sector experience in telecom, IT, shipping, and SME development. His governance expertise strengthens FGE’s leadership.
Executive Officer at SBI Holdings, Inc., Mr. Hayashi has 20 years of experience in private equity, fintech, and digital media. Mr Hayashi was the CEO of SBI Ven Capital, he has oversaw investments across Asia, South Asia, and EMEA. He was also the founding member of Dot Commodity which was Japan’s largest commodity brokerage platform.
He also served as the Managing Director of the Wall Street Journal in Japan.
Ryosuke holds a MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo.
Executive Vice President at SBI Venture Singapore, Mr. Perfiliev has 25+ years in finance, including roles at PwC, Arthur Andersen, and Avenue Asia. He brings strong capabilities in risk management, financial control to FGE.
Mr. Wickremesinghe is a seasoned technology and business leader and has brought more than two decades of multifaceted experience across software development, project delivery and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Sakuvi Investment Trust, Mr. Wickremesinghe has guided the organization for over a decade, shaping long term strategy and driving sustainable growth.
With a solid foundation in technology and a proven record in management, Mr. Wickremesinghe combines strategic insight, operational expertise and a commitment to delivering impactful results, which is essential at FGE.
Our past directors included legendary business leaders such as Mr SK Wickremesinghe and Hemaka Amarasuriya who moulded the company along with the current Chairman in the early years.
